Aleksander was impressed by Vilnius’ churches and fresh water springs

Dmitry Berezin has been studying at St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory for four years now. He likes spending summer vacation at his grandmother’s in the outskirts of Vilnius.

This summer, a freshman in the Conservatory, pianist Alexander Kashpurin, visited Dmitry here.

In the evening after a hot summer day, the students enjoyed a freshly baked apple pie.

4 eggs
250 grams of sugar
Half a teaspoon of baking soda mixed with a few drops of vinegar
1 cup of flour

What I learned

Dmitry: I have been living in St. Petersburg for four years now and I can confirm that this city is rightly balled the cultural capital of Russia. Sometimes the people can be too straightforward, though. They are open, baldly express their opinion, whether it is a pleasant or not for the listener. I am most fascinated by the impressive architecture of St. Petersburg. This city is a real open-air museum!

Alexander: I spent three days in Vilnius and I was fascinated by the beauty of the nature here. I am surprised that near the hustle and bustle of the city, a pure water source exists in Dvarčionys. I like the architecture, the abundance of churches, and the hilly landscape a lot.
